How to reach Genk by plane

The closest international airport is Brussels Airport (visit website) in the center of Belgium.
From Brussels Airport, Genk can easily be reached by public transport. The train takes you to the center of Genk, on walking distance from the accomodations. Go to the Brussels Airport train station. The station is located below the terminal, level -1. On platform 3, take the train to "Hasselt" (Departures every hour, Hasselt is the final stop of this train). In Hasselt you'll arrive on platform 6. Go to Platform 7 and take the train to "Genk". (Departures every hour, Genk is the final stop of this train).

BE AWARE: The train station "Hasselt" is currently being renovated. During the works, the station stays open and is fully accessible. However the works can cause inconveniences. If you want to avoid these construction works, you can take the train to "Ostend" at Brussels Airport, platform 1. Leave this train at Brussels South (Bruxelles Midi) This is the third stop. From here there is a direct train to Genk every hour (Genk is the final stop of this train).

Liège Airport: Take the airport shuttle to the train station Liège-Guillemins (5 Euro). From Liège-Guillemins, take the train direction "Hasselt" (this is the final stop of this train). From Brussels South Charleroi Airport, take the shuttle bus to "Brussels South" station (departs every 30 minutes). How to reach Genk by car

You can easily reach Genk by car via the motorways: E313 (Hasselt-Li├Ęge via the Diepenbeek exit) and E314 (Brussels-Aachen) with 2 exits (31 and 32). You then arrive in the centre via the Westerring or the Europalaan respectively.

It's just a one hour drive to Genk from Brussels and Antwerp, only half an hour from Aachen and 15 minutes from Hasselt or Maastricht.
